The week is coming to an end, which means it's time for our weekly development progress report! So let's quickly see what progress has been made in the past few days.
Particl Desktop Progress Report
This week, we've continued work on the process of improving the way Particl Core and Particl Desktop interact with each other.
This modification is part of the more user-configurable approach we're moving towards with Particl Desktop 3.3. It is an essential element as we're about to jump into the upcoming development cycle, which we've briefly mentioned in a previous post and will provide more details soon.

Core Codebase Maintenance 🛠️
tecnovertWe've been keeping up with upstream updates as part of our ever-ongoing effort to maintain Particl Core up-to-date with Bitcoin's latest version. You can always keep track of those changes by following this link.
BasicSwap 📈
This week, more progress has been made on connecting the different GUI modules, which is, as a reminder, the final item to be completed before we can release the BasicSwap open beta.
We've also added a seemingly small improvement, but one that's much more complicated to implement due to how Monero's wallet functions, that lets you see the sync progress when your client downloads the blockchain.
We've also been making various other changes to the back-end, which you can easily track by keeping an eye on Tecnovert's BasicSwap repository here.
tecnovertNew Web Portal for Particl Marketplace
Particl developer Kewde released, a few days ago, the MVP for a proof-of-concept he's been working on. Particl.store is a web portal that lets you browse marketplace listings from your favorite browser and, eventually, even purchase listings from the portal itself.
Notably important to mention is that Particl.store does not run on the same marketplace back-end code as Particl Desktop. Instead, it uses a new, improved version that is cross-compatible with the one currently used by Particl Desktop. We plan on transitioning to this new version of the market codebase as part of the next upcoming major development cycle.
