The week is coming to an end, which means it's time for our weekly development progress report! So let's quickly see what progress has been made in the past few days.
Particl Desktop 🖥
This week, we have finally completed the vast majority of the minor tweaks and improvements required for Particl Desktop 3.3 to go live on testnet. More precisely, there are essentially only two items left to resolve.
The first one is the verification for new Particl Desktop versions. This is the item we're currently working on at this very moment and we should have it sorted by tomorrow afternoon barring any unforeseen issues.
The second one is the updates/changes/cleanup of the Particl Core UI settings module (the page you get to when clicking on the Particl Core module on the welcome/home page). We aim to get that sorted early next week.
Once completed, we'll run a series of internal tests, which shouldn't take more than a few days, and then deploy the build on testnet. We are happy to report that we are still on track with our goal of releasing Particl Desktop 3.3, on mainnet, before Christmas time! 🎅

- (In progress) A couple of general but minor tweaks and minor improvements/optimizations need to be done, but they are negligible in terms of effort to sort out.

It finally happened! The open beta release of the BasicSwap DEX has been released publicly!
That means you can now use the privacy-first and cross-chain DEX to trade cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Monero, Particl, Firo, and others on an entirely distributed protocol, without third-party involvement of any kind.

This release marks a significant milestone in Particl's mission of building a free and privacy-first ecosystem for all, but the craziest thing about it is that we've only just begun!
Expect a constant stream of updates, improvements, and new features coming out in the next few days, weeks, and months. To get a better idea of our vision for the DEX, you can consult the roadmap available on its website.
