RingCT & Bulletproofs Hardfork Readiness
Earlier today, Particl released Particl Desktop 1.4 on Github. This mandatory update contains all of the tweaks required for the client to be ready for the upcoming RingCT and Bulletproofs hardfork on July 16th, at 12:00:00 UTC.
Particl Desktop version 1.4 automatically update its Particl Core version to 0.18.0.10 the next time you open the client. It is required to update your Particl Desktop to version 1.4 before the hardfork on July 16th, at 12:00:00 UTC.
Failure to update your client in time will result in all transactions being invalidated. You will also not be able to stake directly from your client and receive staking rewards.

Note: If you are cold staking from a staking node that’s at least version 0.18.0.10, but fail to update your Particl Desktop in time, you will still receive your staking rewards but they will not show up on Particl Desktop. Once you update to a version compatible with the upcoming hardfork, your staking rewards will appear.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️
As the Particl network will update on the 16th of July at 12:00:00 UTC, it is required that you update your Particl Core to at least version 0.18.0.10. If you are using Particl Desktop, you need to update your version to at least 1.4.0 so that your client automatically update Particl Core to the correct version.
Failure to update your Particl Desktop to version 1.4.0 before July 16th at 12:00:00 UTC means your client will not connect to the proper network.
