Multi-Wallets & Various UI/UX Improvements

We’ve just released a new testnet build for Particl Desktop. This build contains the new multi-wallet feature in a pretty stable form as well as various UI/UX enhancements, bug fixes, and general improvements to the wallet.

We also recommend logging any issue you may encounter on the Issue section of our Github page.

Note: This build is meant to only include testing for the multi-wallet implementation. The application initially appears similar to the v1.x versions of the wallet. That is, the marketplace will not be visible. The market-related actions are only present on a wallet named Market
(note the capital letter 'M').

IMPORTANT: If testing this build, make certain that the particl-market folder does not exist on your machine. This folder needs to be removed before running this build. The location of your particl-market is dependent on the OS you use.

  • Windows:C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\particl-market
  • macOS:~/Library/Application Support/particl-market
  • Linux:~/.particl-market

Please note that the build does not include the updates to the marketplace yet, which would bring in the OMP-lib integration. Hence, any known or previously reported issues in the buy-flow that are meant to be resolved with the OMP-lib integration will likely still be present.

What’s New?

  • Multi-Wallets
  • Various UI/UX Enhancements
  • Bug Fixes
  • General Improvements

The new multi-wallet feature is most likely ready for mainnet, however, we always encourage you to try to break it while it’s undergoing its public testing phase. These new improvements will go live at the same time we’ll be releasing the Open Marketplace on mainnet.

Happy testing!
