With the week coming to an end, weβve prepared a new Particl V3 progress report weβd like to share with you. It highlights all the progress made over Particl V3 and indicates what the items will be focused on next week and beyond. And this week is a pretty nice update!
The items completed this week are the two that were remaining and being worked on from last week. Specifically, the stealth address usage, which has been addressed to some extent, and some changes for catching the errors related to the bid failing issue (which would lock funds) have been implemented.
In the latter case, the changes solve the issue but require additional testing from the community to ensure it cannot be reproduced anymore on different machines. For this reason, it'll remain an issue that the team will keep an eye out for moving forward.
Additionally, another minor issue in the marketplace has been fixed, and some words and labels have been cleaned up.
With all of the above said, here's the list of outstanding issues to be fixed with Particl Desktop.
Note: Some items that were present in the last progress report are not included in this one. In all cases, thatβs because they have been successfully completed.
In Progress
Preparing for the Final Testnet Release Before Mainnet
As all major outstanding issues with Particl V3 have been resolved, it's now time to prepare for what should be the final testnet release before its mainnet release. This means making certain that all changes for the testnet release (and, after that, the mainnet release) are merged and included where they need to be.
Styling of the New Community Governance Module
While the new governance module is completed in terms of functionality, it's currently going through a styling phase (UI/UX) which should also be completed in the next few days.
Note that the new governance module may have disabled buttons or functions for this coming testnet round if the styling fixes are not completed by the time of releasing the testnet. Regardless, the module will be entirely ready for Particl V3's mainnet release.
To Be Completed Next
Building and Releasing the New Particl V3 on Testnet
The next item to Β be completed is to release Particl V3 on testnet for what should be its final round of community testing.
Any New Particl V3 Bug
Any reported bug from the new Particl V3 testnet build will get immediate priority to ensure the client is stable and ready for mainnet release as fast as possible.
If you encounter any issue while testing Particl V3, please report it to the Github Issue page of the particl-desktop
repository. This page is located here.
