Particl Desktop 3.1.2 is now available to download! It fixes a notable bug in the market codebase's desktop implementation that caused market-related details (listings, etc) to be removed from an already-joined market when a promoted market using the same keys expires.

It also fixes a Javascript error under certain circumstances when the application starts, as well as the ability to delete sell template images once a listing has been published.

Because the bug first mentioned in this blog post can cause significant issues to the user experience, we've opted to immediately fix it with this update.

Advanced Start-up

Sometimes, it's helpful to start the application from the terminal, aka command line. It gives you additional information about what's happening in the background and can be useful for troubleshooting issues (if issues you encounter).

Windows

  1. Open "Windows Explorer"
  2. On the installation folder (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Particl Desktop\Particl Desktop") Press [SHIFT⇧]+[MOUSE-RIGHT◳] and choose "Open command window here"
  3. Type the following command including the quotation marks into the terminal and hit [ENTER ↵] "Particl Desktop.exe"

Mac

  1. Open "Terminal"
    (e.g. [COMMAND ⌘] + [SPACE] and type terminal > hit [ENTER ↵])
  2. Type in this command and hit [ENTER ↵]:
    /Applications/Particl\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/Particl\ Desktop

Linux

  1. Open a terminal in the folder where you’ve installed the application and type the following command and hit [ENTER ↵]:
    ./Particl\ Desktop
